Ever since I was a young boy, I was fascinated with the smell, feel and appearance of leather. I believe it is one of Nature's most beautiful and captivating natural products.
A few years ago, I was searching for a protective travel case for one of my travel humidors, and I found The Saddleback Leather Company. What I found, was exactly what I was looking for - a gorgeous handcrafted leather pouch that would last so long that one day I could pass on to my kids. What I also found was that the natural tones and character of leather match perfectly with the beauty and warmth of solid exotic woods.
Since that day, Dave Munson, Presidente of Saddleback Leather and I have become friends, and Dave now owns a fine handcrafted Vanderburgh Humidor.
Since I love Dave's leather so much, I made arrangements to bring in Saddleback Leather for use in some desktop humidor models.

Sometimes we get in hides with real, genuine brands in them. They are rare, and difficult to get, but if you are lucky, we can find you a brand, and build you a humidor with the brand right in the top. Sometimes, we get genuine brands in our hides. If you are lucky, we can incorporate a genuine brand into your leather topped humidor.
Saddleback Leather has not done anything to the leather to add character. The marks and scrapes and scars are all natural. Where the cow had been gored scraped by barbed wire, cactus or mesquite thorns, bitten by a coyote, or branded, the color sets in deep and stands out. You'll be able to see the full grain running through the hide.
